Altris × Draslovka — Europe’s First Industrial Sodium-Ion Cathode Supply Chain

EU

Swedish battery developer Altris and Czech specialty chemicals group Draslovka established Europe’s first industrial-scale sodium-ion cathode supply chain. Supported by a €19.3 million strategic in-kind investment, a production line at Draslovka’s Kolín facility in Czech Republic is being converted for Altris’ patented Prussian White Cathode Active Material (CAM). Production in Q3/Q4 2026 will yield up to 350 tonnes annually (~175 MWh of sodium-ion cell capacity), providing a fully European-controlled alternative to lithium-based chemistry for grid storage and urban mobility.
