AMD × Microsoft — Helios Rack-Scale AI System Deployed at Scale Across Azure

AMD announced an expanded strategic partnership with Microsoft spanning GPUs, CPUs, networking and software on Azure. Microsoft will ramp AMD Helios at scale to power frontier model AI inference and Azure AI services. Helios integrates AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, AMD EPYC Venice CPUs, Pensando networking and ROCm software. Azure will also add two new VM series powered by 6th Gen EPYC Venice processors. AMD shares rose nearly 5% on the announcement. Microsoft joins Meta, OpenAI and Oracle as major Helios customers.
