EPC Wero Expands Retail Payments Partnership to France and Belgium After Germany Launch

The European Payments Council's Wero platform, already live in Germany with major retailers including Lidl, Decathlon, Rossmann, and Air Europa, is expanding retail payment partnerships into France and Belgium in 2026. With over 1,100 participating financial institutions, Wero is Europe's answer to reducing dependency on Visa and Mastercard for retail payments across the eurozone.
