Ford × Geely — Valencia Manufacturing JV: 500,000-Unit EV and Multi-Energy Production from 2027

Ford Motor Company (66%) and Geely Automobile Holdings (34%) agreed to form a manufacturing joint venture at Ford’s Valencia Almussafes plant in Spain. The JV targets 500,000 units per year from 2027, producing a Ford multi-energy crossover, a European Ford Bronco and two all-electric Geely SUVs including the Geely EX5. Ford contributes plant capacity and brand engineering; Geely provides modular EV architecture, electric powertrain technology and capital. ‘Made in Europe’ status enables Geely models to bypass EU import tariffs on Chinese-made EVs. Ford Kuga PHEV production continues during the retooling transition.
