Lyft × Gett — Acquiring London’s Leading Black Cab App for ~$55M

Lyft agreed to acquire Gett’s UK business for approximately $55 million, becoming the dominant app for London’s iconic black cabs. Gett connects riders to three-quarters of Greater London’s registered black cab drivers. Combined with Freenow, Lyft will nearly double rides in London and establish itself as the leading ground transport platform in the capital, with deep B2B relationships with the BBC, Transport for London and major London corporations.
