Verda — €100M for European Sovereign AI Cloud Infrastructure

Helsinki-based Verda (formerly DataCrunch) raised €100 million to scale its sovereign European AI cloud infrastructure — positioning itself as a GDPR-compliant, EU-controlled alternative to US hyperscalers for AI compute. Targets governments, enterprises and research institutions requiring European-sovereign AI infrastructure. Part of a broader wave of EU capital going into sovereign AI compute.
